100 Jobs Eyed As First Tenants Move On To Beverley’s Capital Park

The owner of a new Beverley business park is confident the £10 million development could create up to 100 jobs, having secured a prestigious national tenant and fielded a huge number of enquiries from a wide range of businesses.

Capital Park, an 80,000 sq ft development within Grovehill Industrial Estate, is a speculative industrial development that has been designed by East Yorkshire-based Brooklands Property Holdings Ltd to meet market demand. It has recently welcomed the arrival of national brand Euro Car Parts on a 10 year lease and two local SMEs are also set to move in this month.

Already home to Cumberland Comms, a telecommunications infrastructure company, the remaining units are attracting enquiries from well-known national names and local SMEs. PPH Commercial has been instructed to market them.

Brooklands Property Holdings chief executive Debbie Barbor said: “There is a massive shortage of hybrid units like this available in the Beverley area, so we expect the development to prove very popular. The site has been developed to align with the increased demand for high-quality semi-industrial spaces. We are obviously thrilled to have secured such a well-known national name like Euro Car Parts and our projections indicate that the development could create at least 100 new full-time jobs, which is a great boost for the local labour market.”

Boasting a diverse range of clients, including FTSE 100 companies and national and local businesses, Hessle-headquartered Brooklands Property Holdings is a private investment and development group, focusing on high-quality retail, office and trade counter properties across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Surrey. They have a proven track record for creating successful trade counter and industrial parks, owning and managing The Point, Pioneer Park in Hull, Europa Park in Grimsby and Hesslewood Office Park in the Humber region.

Constructed on a steel portal frame with a 2m-high block wall and insulated sheet metal cladding, they boast 6m high eaves and potential to install mezzanine floors. To future proof the business park and enhance its green credentials, EV charging ports have also been incorporated within the gated car parking area and the units are anticipated to receive high Energy Performance Certificate assessments.

Ben Cooper, PPH Commercial’s divisional director for office and industrial property, said: “Capital Park is an exciting speculative industrial scheme which has been carefully designed to cater for the market and the demands of modern businesses. Beverley is a thriving area which has benefitted from an influx of people in recent years, due to the development of several new-build housing schemes. We expect to field a large number of enquiries from innovative businesses.”
